The MSDS should be on every product your company ships.
The MSDS or Material Safety Data Sheet is designed to explain a chemical's hazards. The common
opinion is to mail, fax or post it on the WEB. We respectfully argue that the best place
for the MSDS is affixed to the product for the following reasons:
1. If there is an accident, the instructions are right there. When a problem occurs, the last thing somebody is going to do is go to the web, run to a safety office, call your company or rummage through files. There simply isn't enough time for that.
2. An MSDS within somebody's immediate grasp prevents accidents. If the MSDS is readily available,
there is a significantly better chance somebody is going to read it. This may save the person's life. When the MSDS is on file or on the web, you get the problem of "out of site…out of mind". Customer's may simply forget to get
your MSDS. Not having the MSDS readily available is dangerous.
3. LEGAL reasons. Nobody is getting sued yet, but in this litigious environment are you willing to take the chance? Affixing the MSDS to gives your product gives your customers immediate and convenient access to your MSDS. The more information you give your customers, the better your defense in a lawsuit.
4. Osha can fine your customers for not having an MSDS on site. Don't leave your customers exposed
if they forget to go to the web or lose it. Make sure it is on the product where it belongs.
Use our family of Booklet Labels to EXPAND your product's space so you can offer a complete MSDS on
every product shipped. We can help you make your product safer for your customers.
